There is something truly magical about a foggy day in the mountains, and we had the honour of capturing that magic during E + H's adventure session in Jasper National Park, Alberta. The day started off pouring rain and we were concerned if we would have to postpone the shoot or cut the session short and embrace the rain! Fortunately the rain calmed down and mist and fog rolled in through the trees, which created the perfect atmosphere for this couple.
What is an Adventure Session?
Ty and I love adventure sessions because they combine our love of photography and our love of the outdoors! From the Rockies to hidden gems across Alberta and BC, we love capturing couples and families in their element surrounded by natures beauty. An adventure session is an immersive photography experience that goes beyond a traditional photoshoot. Instead of simply posing for photos we take you into nature, and let your story unfold naturally. Whether it's a sunrise hike in Jasper National park or exploring the rugged trails of Grande Cache, an adventure session allows you to capture your relationship or family in the great outdoors.
How to Prepare for your Adventure Session and What to Bring
Preparing for an adventure session is all about embracing the elements while also being comfortable and safe. Start by dressing for the weather- layers are key in the mountains, and don't forget sturdy shoes for hiking. Bring along water, snacks and any personal items that make your adventure special, like a cozy blanket or thermos of hot coffee. We also recommend packing a change of cloths if you want to mix up your look during the session. And most importantly, come with an open mind and sense of adventure! Yes, we know that sounds cheesy but it is our goal to make you feel relaxed and at home in nature, so that you can enjoy the experience while we capture those candid memories!
Whether you are a couple wanting to capture your love in the outdoors or a family who loves to explore together, an Adventure Session is the perfect way to capture your love or your family in the most stunning landscapes in Alberta and British Columbia.
